Marilyn Calver, Yoga Program Director


Marilyn Calver has been a student, practitioner and teacher of yoga and meditation for over 20 years and is a firm believer in the therapeutic and transformational power of yoga. She is a senior student in the Para Yoga tradition with its founder Yogarupa Rod Stryker and a Certified Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist through the Himalayan Institute. Her teaching incorporates the time tested wisdom of Tantra, Hatha Yoga and Ayurveda. Along with an on-going schedule of classes and workshops at the Compass Center for Healing she offers individualized yoga therapy, business and community outreach presentations.   She co-developed and secured grant funding for a parent-child stress management program and is currently spearheading trauma sensitive programming for Veterans, adult survivors of childhood abuse and their families.


Irene Pregl, MSW, QBFS    


Irene has a Masters Degree in Social Work, and is a specialist in Quantum Biofeedback.  She is a Geriatric Care Manager, has a Certificate in Gerontology and is President of Peaceful Living, an assisted care provider.   She is dedicated to the balancing of mind, body and spirit offering stress management through biofeedback sessions and Reiki (hands on healing) as a channel to self –healing.  Her techniques help clients reduce stress related to health and emotional imbalances with the belief that physical blocks are connected to a person’s emotional well-being.


David G. Peterson

Dave head

Dave studied at St. Olaf College with an emphasis on Eastern philosophy and music.   He is a Past President of  the City of Stillwater Chamber of Commerce, and has served as the  Chair of the Stillwater Downtown Council,  as well as on the Board of Directors for the River Valley Arts Council, and the River Falls Community Arts Base.   He  currently serves on the Board of Directors of WestCAP – a Wisconsin non-profit assisting low-income families, and as Executive Director at the Compass Center for Healing.

Helen Pregl

Helen is the owner of Business Support Services which provides accounting, bookkeeping and tax preparation to individuals, small to medium size businesses and non-profit entities.  She has been active in the financial field since 1987 and takes seminars on a yearly basis to improve tax preparer and accounting skills.  She is a graduate of the University of Minnesota and has received a mini-MBA from St. Thomas University.  She is the President of  P.E.O Chapter AF, an organization that promotes education for women.  Helen spent a year at the American Embassy in Moscow as a linguist and department budget supervisor.
